In this miscellaneous class, we will mostly be working on balance. That isn’t to say we’ll be focussing solely on balancing poses. Instead, we’ll be looking at a wide variety of poses and trying to see how we can spread our weight better when we hold them so that we can achieve greater stability.
So, a key concept of today’s practice will be anchoring: through the feet, through the hands and forearms, we’ll be trying to achieve better contact with the surface that supports us and see how the nature of the pose changes when we’re firmly rooted through our base.
This class is suitable not only for advanced students but also for teachers who are looking to improve their understanding of the motions involved in each pose.
