Lindsay Shaw began her Iyengar practice over 18 years ago and was instantly taken with the practice of physical postures (asanas) which tone muscles and develop stamina and flexibility and the great contented and relaxed feeling she got after a class. As you learn, yoga increases concentration and body awareness, bringing a sense of balance to both mind and body.
Lindsay started a two year teacher training course in 2007 to qualify as a teacher with the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK) from the MDIIY (Manchester District Institute of Iyengar Yoga). She is currently certified as an Intermediate Junior teacher.
Lindsay teaches classes at the Chorlton Central Church Hall and in Wimslow at the St Anne’s Church Hall.
