About the course

This is a challenging series designed for advanced practitioners ready to take their practice to the next level. This series focuses on refining alignment, improving mobility, and building strength through advanced asanas, with a particular emphasis on the hips, spine, and chest. Each class offers an opportunity to explore advanced postures while developing a deeper awareness of the body’s capabilities and limitations.

The series begins with a dynamic class focused on deep hip opening, incorporating twists and arm balances. These postures will challenge students’ stability, balance, and mental focus while offering an opportunity to release tension and increase flexibility in the hips. The following class will offer an in-depth look at basic standing poses. Even for advanced students, refining foundational postures is essential for improving alignment, strength, and balance.

The series continues with a session focused on asymmetrical postures, designed to even out imbalances that naturally occur between the two sides of the body. By focusing on uneven weight distribution, students will develop a more balanced and stable practice and will also work on improving core strength. Next, forward bends and twists are introduced in a sequence tailored for advanced practitioners, offering deeper releases for the spine, hamstrings, and hips while encouraging relaxation through proper alignment and breath work.

A restorative session focused on chest opening is incorporated to counterbalance the intensity of the previous classes. This class allows students to release tightness in the upper body, encouraging deeper breathing and a sense of calm.

As the series progresses, students will take part in a miscellaneous sequence aimed at improving hip mobility. This class combines various poses designed to release and open the hips, allowing for greater freedom of movement in advanced asanas. The series concludes with a hip-opening and back-release sequence, ensuring that students develop the flexibility and strength necessary for a well-rounded, balanced practice.
