This is a miscellaneous class with a focus on twists. We will start with twisted standing postures and then move on to some seated twists. For this class, you will need a few props — a chair, a belt, and a couple of blocks — since the main point of this class is to explore ways in which props can be used to help students achieve maximum opening while avoiding undue strain.
As we know, everything we do, every action, has an effect on something else. Yoga gives us the space to observe and explore these effects, and the lessons we take from this observation can be applied to our daily lives not only in relation to our bodies but other things too. The skill of observing without judgment is one that promotes greater understanding, acceptance, and ultimately, overall wellbeing.
This class is suited perfectly for advanced students or those embarking on their own teaching journey and will offer useful tips to both.
