This is the first class of the year for our Level 3 students at our Balmain Iyengar Yoga Studio.
This will be a hybrid class. During the first half, we will be practising a series of standing poses to the wall. Then, in the second part of this live session, we will go on to do some forward bends. All the while, we will be focussing on getting back in sync with our bodies and adding more flow to our movements. An important aspect of today’s practice will be learning to appreciate the body’s boundaries: where it’s best to let go and allow ourselves to move deeper into the poses as opposed to where it’s best to hold our current position and feel our limitations.
Another aim of this session is to reestablish our foundations for next week’s Tuesday class, where we will be predominantly working on our backbends.
