What is Iyengar Yoga?
This yoga style is considered one of the purest forms of yoga and was developed by the world-renowned B.K.S Iyengar in the 1960s. It is incredibly meticulous and places emphasis on precision and alignment. Breathing is the primary focus during all sessions in addition to posture. Conditioning of flexibility and strength can be achieved through practice.

There are a large number of yoga styles practiced throughout the world, however Iyengar Yoga is one of the most widely appreciated. Props are also quite common in this style of yoga as they make poses more accessible and allow beginners to focus more on perfecting their posture and positioning as they continue their practice. Because Iyengar yoga is a slower, more focused form of yoga, with thorough practice you may find you can focus more on your postural alignment and the precise details of each intricate pose. It also requires a great deal of concentration which can help relieve anxiety and stress you may experience on a day-to-day basis.
